I had the privilege if working with Nancy at West Street School many years ago. Nancy was an outstanding and well respected teacher who had a no nonsense approach that would not go amiss today.
We spent many a day dreaming of what we were going to do with out lives. I particularly remember the knitting machine phase , when we thought we could design and make jumpers that were going to make our fortune. Nancy would knit the jumper and I would embroider the front.
School nativity’s, Nancy at the back plonking on the keyboard like Les Dawson and me singing like a strangled cat Happy days!
Nancy moved away but we always kept in touch and I regarded her has a true friend
Rest in peace Nancy
much love
